As you know, you can reach any place by your own way by public cars and rental cars in modern time, but even if you use public transportation and private car, It's impossible to see many places in one day for you and me. We can calculate easily, for example you are in Cappadocia and stay in city center, Goreme, you can go many places by public cars, but you can go at most 3 places in one day and you spend more or less same money for a tour, but by a tour; you can visit at least 6 places. Booking a tour is not more expensive than doing it by yourself, as I have explained you above, you can do our one day tour at least in two days, if you calculate all public car fees, museum and entrance fees and lunch moreover one more night hotel accommodation, probably your way will be more expensive.
